About

Sylvia "Cullen" Gardepe is a comic artist/illustrator currently living in Atlanta, GA. Born on December 17th, 1989, her childhood and adolescence were spent getting in trouble for drawing in class. She was thrilled to learn that once she got to college, her professors didn't care if she drew in class. She graduated from Emory University in 2011 after writing a 90-page Honors thesis comparing the evolution of comic art styles in the US and Japan. While working on this thesis, it finally dawned on her that she should pursue her lifelong love of comics and drawing as a career path. She entered SCAD Atlanta's sequential art graduate program in August, 2011. In addition to self-publishing minicomics to sell at conventions, she has a pinup appearing in Action Lab's Princeless: Tales of the Family Ashe, coming out in June 2013.

Likes (aside from drawing/reading comics): Nature, animals, music, cooking/baking, martial arts, the color pink, glitter, and pretty/cute things.

Dislikes: Sweet potatoes, bourbon, cleaning, alarm clocks, temperatures below 70 degrees, Styrofoam packing peanuts, and writing bios about herself in 3rd person.
